My spotting gun on Cissell spotting board is leaking steam continuously. What part would be needed to fix this problem. Would it be the gasket or valve and if valve, which valve? Thanks.

A:
Try replacing the disc, and if that doesn’t work, replace the spring in the valve.

When I buy a steam gun on your site what does it hook up to get the steam? Can I buy it on your site? Also do you sell plastic garment bags on a roll? I can't seem to find it on your site. Please advise, thank you.

A:
Steam guns, also known as spotting boards are generally hooked up to spotting boards. Some will also use these with mini self-contained boiler units.

This spotting gun is hooked up to a hose, which hooks up to spotting board table. The table is piped into a steam line which is powered by a boiler.

When not in use, the spotting gun is leaking water. Even after releasing the pedal steam is still leaking out a bit. What seems to be the problem?

A:
Most likely the valve is not cutting off. You may need to replace the disc if it's cracked. Replace the valve spring if it's too weak. If the disc and spring are ok, then the seat in the valve body may be damaged, or the valve steam is bent. The parts should be replaced.

A:
No, it is not the same tip. The SG5 is the larger tip that normally comes with the spotting guns.
